A little loosely knitted right now, but it shows freshness and brightness. Medium to full body with firm tannins. A blend of 40% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc.

The 2017 Passi di Orma is a lovely second wine from Orma. Sweet red cherry, mint, blood orange and pomegranate are all pushed forward. Silky and pliant, with lovely fruit purity, this radiant, juicy Maremma red is absolutely delicious. It should drink well for at least another handful of years.

A layered and powerful young red from Bolgheri with currants, chocolate and cedar undertones. Full-bodied, layered and polished with beautiful fruit and intensity. A solid and structured wine, highlighting the beauty of the vintage on the coast of Tuscany. Second wine of Orma.

The 2016 Passi di Orma is a gorgeous entry-level wine. Bright and perfumed, with lovely depth, this medium-bodied red delivers the goods. Sweet red cherry, mocha and rose petal are some of the many notes that are laced into the silky finish. This is a wonderfully precise wine from Orma.

Compared to the preceding vintage. The 2016 Bolgheri Rosso Passi di Orma delivers its primary fruit characteristics in a less obvious manner. There is dark plum and blackberry for sure but the spice, toast and tobacco tones take equal billing. This wine also shows a more robust construction with etched layers of mineral and campfire ash at the back. This vintage shows superior focus and definition. The blend is 40% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc.
